UKCPS Parking Fine

Options
Hi,

I got a fine while working Leeds for parking on the grass in front of a fence near the road, I didn't see the sign as it was 6am and in a hurry but did see it on return to the car.

Can I reject the fine as its £60 now or £100 laters based on the fact they lost no money ?

I cannot post a link to the foto as I am a new user and it won't let me !

Thanks in advance

You've posted before in 2017 about another ticket received so you should know the drill.

So read the newbie thread please.

Edit your post to remove 'I''.

    It's not a 'fine'

    Hi tboo,

'I' have posted before but it still says I cannot include a link as I am new to the forum.

I have gone over the newbie thread but its a bit daunting this was not a windscreen ticket but the letter started off:

The photos of my car were taken via MNPR:

The driver of the above vehicle is liable for a Parking Charge in the above amount which at the date of this notice remains unpaid and balance due.

The charge relates to a period of parking ...... attention of the driver by clear signage....

The signage said 'By parking here or remaining at this site..... the driver are agreeing to the following contractual term:

You are agreeing to pay a parking charge in the sum of £100 within 28 days or ~£60 within 14.'

Can I contest this do you think?

yes, by using the blue text template contesting as KEEPER

nothing you can say will make them cancel it though, its just a paper excercise

you called it a "fine", its not , its a PCN , a Parking Charge Notice, the common name is an INVOICE

only the courts can fine you, it hasnt been near a court
  • Ok cheers will do the paper trail

    MNPR
No such thing LOL! Desperate parking firms make it up as they go along!

They mean a bloke with a camera on foot. ''MNPR'' indeed!!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Is the blue template I submit this one: ?

Template appeal for BPA or IPC members - copy this wording into the online appeal box::

    Re PCN number:

I dispute your 'parking charge', as the keeper of the vehicle. I deny any liability or contractual agreement. There will be no admissions as to who was driving and no assumptions can be drawn.

    thanks

I can't answer that as it makes me self combust...honestly please don't copy the only blue template here and ask 'is it this one?'.

    Hi Guys,

I received a reply from UKCPS rejecting my appeal(blue template submitted online) because the charge was issued correctly.

It goes on to say I can appeal to the IAS but I only have another 2-3 days as I have been working away from home, what would be the best thing to do?

    Cheers
