AA renewal tomorrow (or not?)

My policy renewal date is 29/10.
I normally ring up before hand to get the renewal price down. This year I have left it late and now realised that the renewal line is not open on a Sunday! So I was worried that it would auto-renew at the higher price.
However, reading through the letter it doesn't actually say that it will auto-renew and states I need to ring up to renew - does this mean it won't auto renew? If so, that is fine with me as I don't want to pay the renewal price they have suggested.

My AA membership auto-renewed, I would think yours will be the same. I changed, just for that reason.0

When purchasing AA cover always choose the annual direct debit option & cancel the payment after they have collected it & that way they cannot collect the money & renew the policy.
Auto renew is one of my pet hates & it should always be an opt in & not the default option.0 -
A friends AA cover auto renewed last year at about £300. She phoned to complain and it was reduced to about £150. Still to much for me but definitely worth contacting them rather than accepting the £300 cost.0
