Daughter being evicted under Section 21 but has new landlord

Hi, my daughter is being evicted from a privately rented flat under Section 21 which has been on going for a couple of months now. However 3 weeks ago she was informed that she now has a new landlord due to the property being sold. Does this mean that the Section 21 eviction still stands or does it make it invalid. Need some advice as the Bailiffs are coming tomorrow. She received the eviction letter on Friday. Many thanks in advance

Not sure, call Shelter helpline today (open 9-5) 0808 800 4444 and ask. Expect a wait from this overworked charity.
HOW was she informed of change of landlord? Was she given written name and address of landlord? Was address in England or Wales? If no, no rent is due to "new" owner/landlord.0 -

A possession order already been granted. It’s too late0 -

New landlord just steps into his shoes.0 -
Failing to move out after the s21 notice expired is what got her to court.
The possession order the court awarded is what's getting the bailiffs arriving tomorrow.
Her tenancy is the same, even though the landlord's changed. So why wouldn't the possession order still apply?0 -
Because Possession order has claimant's name (old landlord) not "whoever is the landlord" as person to whom possession should be returned.
Whereas tenant(s) are named and iirc anyone else found there (ish, from memory)0
