Good Afternoon fellow MSE Fans.
I am just about to embark in a monumental time in my adulthood, where my 6 years credit history blackmark for a IVA is about to end.
I actually settled my IVA around 4 years ago, but alas the black mark sticks for the full 6 years.
What will i need to get the history wiped clean from my accounts, will i need to coontact relevant credit companies, or will the data just disapear of my credit file.
Any help would be great so i can get to work on clearing the data, so I can start the ball rolling... My mortgage is currently on a variable, and rates keep increasing, and havent been able to lock down a proper mortgage for 5 years.
Regards
Jamie

Hi, Jamie. You shouldn't need to do anything other than check your credit files, they should be removed automatically.
Congratulations!!0 -
They should be removed automatically0

Awesome thanks guys,
I think i remember way back then, You had to ring up every debtor to prove you had settled, which is weird, as they had to agree to the settlement.
They advised me to make multiple copies of my settlement certificate for my debtors0 -
Upon expiration, if the data has not been removed within a maximum of 2 months, please contact your Insolvency Practitioner for further assistance.
Generally, there should not be a problem, but occasionally something can go wrong, which results in the data pending clerical removal.Advice provided from this account does not consist of any professional knowledge. your IVA "marker" will or should drop off by itself without any issues (mine did)
the accounts in relation will drop off 6 years after 1st default, again this will be automatically.
I also made copies of my completion certificate ready to send out to everyone, but was not needed0
