Ppi help !

Options
Hi. Ive read lots about ppi lately and decided to see if i could find out if i had it. I signed up to credit check however, in the last 6 years I've not had loans etc. Back in 2003/2004 I was married and we had joint accounts and I had a credit card and loans. I have none of this paperwork now though and have since reverted back to my maiden name and also moved twice. Signing up to the credit check only seemed to check my last 6 years and nothing back further so I'm not sure how I go about finding out any of the account info, banks and loan info necessary to even check if I ever had ppi. I have a gut feeling I did. What can I do ????

  • You write to any lenders where you feel you may have had PPI and it was mis sold to you, giving your reasons. Submit SARs if necessary.

Anything older than 6 years will only be in your own records or memory.
  • Does it matter though if I don't have account details etc ? I can remember 2 possible banks/lenders Lloyds and a Mint credit card (was that RBSI? )
  • You write with the info you have. They'll either find it or they won't.
