Automatic savings bond renewals

I have a savings bond which automatically renewed for another 1.5 years last week however on thinking about it i could use the money a bit better as the interest rate is low. The renewal letter says withdrawals are not permitted until the end of term however if i want to close the bond would that be ok ? there is nothing in the letter about closing it. I will send and email and call the bank on Monday

I don't use fixed rate bonds, but if I did I'd be checking my account T&Cs to see if there's a 14 day (or similar) cooling off period.
But to your specific question, how on earth would anyone here be able to answer it?...being as you haven't divulged either the provider of the product or the product name! If you're not good at finding and/or reading and understanding T&Cs then at least give the others here something to go on to try and help you.0 -
Need more information to be able to help.
You may have a cooling off period of around 14 days but if you have missed this you may not be able to close before maturity, or you can with a penalty, without knowing the account or bank the account is with, we don't know which it could be.
