I live in a poor reception area, and my current DAB radio is a bit hit and miss, in regard to signal.
Can anyone point me in the direction of a reasonably priced DAB Radio, with external antenna socket?
Thanks.

If you are handy with a soldering iron, you could add your own socket. I have done it with one of mine for the same reason.
You will need an F connector chassis socket.0 -
Do I just solder it onto the aerial lead inside the radio?0

I've been looking for one of these forever. Let me know if you find oneChanging the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.0

That's what I did. Works a treat and cost pennies.0 -

In that case, couldn't I just attach it to the clevis where the telescopic aerial is currently fitted?0 -
You could try attaching the centre core of aerial co-ax to the clevis (nice word!) or telescopic aerial with a croc clip.
Or even just a long length of wire.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -
I have an Ocean Digital DBA-01C8, DAB+ radio which requires an aerial connection because it has no extendable aerial. It does not have an internal speaker either and requires connecting to an amplifier. It has DAB/DAB+, Bluetooth input, FM, alarms, remote control and an external plug in PSU.

There is another DAB+ radio on Amazon which I looked at which also has an aerial input
There was one very similar to mine but without the colour display and it might not of had bluetooth.0 -

It's worth a try. I would have to open the radio up to have a look, but thinking back, I may have also connected the earth tab too.
A long length of wire may help but I have never found doing that much use. I use coaxial cables linked to proper dipole aerials in the loft or outside on a pole.0 -
A DAB radio at work (think it might have been a Pure) had the telescopic aerial connected by an SMA plug, which was handy.0

Try connecting a coaxial cable to the aerial out at the wall to the aerial on the radio to see if that works. If it does then you could fix it more permanently with a locking connector or small hose clip type fixing depending upon the telescopic aerial diameter.
My old roberts DAB clock radio had a very simple aerial lead with one core which just hung out the back of the radio. I used to connect the roof DAB aerial to that lead via a cable to the wall and it gave reasonable reception.0
