A question about my credit card

in Credit cards
Evening all,
I pay my Aqua Credit card in full every month, via the app. I currently have a balance of just over £400 from travel expenses a week ago. My requested payment which is due 2nd Nov is £0. Does this mean I can technically wait until my name payment due date to pay my balance in full?
I’m confused
P.S at the moment I pay my balance on payday, regards of when I last used the card, is this the best practice?
Thanks!:j

You only have to pay the statement balance if it's 0 then all you're spending will be on the next statement so wait and pay it when you get it0

I have a direct debit set up so I never miss a payment, be carefull if paying manually that you don't miss the statement payment date as you will incur late payment charges0

No this is not really the best practice.
Unless the credit limit is low and you have a problem with available credit, wait until the statementis produced and then pay the balance of the statement by the payment due date.0 -
The best practice is a direct debit set up to pay the balance in full. That way you can't forget because you have gone on holiday, got flu or whatever. Presumably the expenses were incurred after your last statement date & therefore are not due for payment until very early December. Only you can know the answer to that.
I suppose the only question really is, are you oganised enough to say, OK I've been paid but £400 of that will have to stay in my account to pay my credit card bill? How do you pay your other bills?
It is possible that paying before the statement date makes it look like you are not using it & doesn't help show that you can manage credit sensibly.
ETA this would be a good reason to have a current account that pays interest.0 -
Get a DD setup, its much easier.0
