moving and using sky+ box

HI everybody. i have been toying with the idea of taking my sky + box away with me at weekends over the winter to my caravan to allow me to watch the programmes that i have pre recorded. i do not have a sky connection there so will it just work from the hard drive??

Just try disconnecting the dish cables at home and see. Can't see why not as it just reads the card for decryption.0

No, it won't allow playback unless there's a dish signal.
Set up a dish on a pole or tripod at your caravan. Make sure the LNB on the dish has at least two connections. Align the dish and connect the Digibox. You'll then have full functionality.
