Hoover washer stopped at spin cycle.

Hi, can anyone help please before we arrange for a repair?
Hoover vision tech washer less than two years old and out of guarantee has stopped at the spin cycle. We are able to open the door even though there is a small lock on the screen. We have emptied and cleaned the filter and the impeller turns but cannot clear the screen to restart the washer. any help appreciated.

Just asking the old IT question. Have you turned it off and on again?

It sounds like it could be a problem draining the water, which causes it to stop. Is there an EO3 error code appearing?

No there’s no error code. The display is stuck on the count down to the end of the programme.

Update: Got a repair man out. No problem with the door lock. Asked if we had switched off at the mains? Diet it and washer reset itself. I thought by turning the dial to off was switching the washer off? Doh. -Taff. Got it right but thanks to all.

For future reference there is also usually a front-panel 'Cancel' option to reset the machine at any stage in the programme - you might need to read the manual to find out as it usually involves pushing (and holding) a combination of buttons at the same time (a bit like Ctrl+Alt+Del).

Just for other people, I realise the OP has sorted their issue. I had this happen a few months back and it was because it was an “uneven load”.
So if you’ve not got a full load, try making it up and trying again if turning it off and on again doesn’t need work!
