Hot kitchen and bathroom tap have gone stiff

Hi all. For some time my bathroom sink tap has gone stiff and is not turning at all. Now my kitchen tap sink has gone stiff and is getting harder to turn by the day.

Any ideas what can be wrong and how to fix it?

Don't know if it's also worth noting that for the bath, I have to turn the tap quite hard for it to stop dripping.

Probably the washer has perished in both taps. You just need to be able to turn the water off to each tap, disassemble the tap using an adjustable spanner and replace the washer. The washers are usually about a pound for a packet of 3 to 5. Small hardware stores will often have what you need, but so will Wickes & B&Q.
The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.

Do you live in a hard water area? might be limescale causing your taps to jam.
