Continuios Payment Authority ‘2 CHILDREN MONTHLY’ Glasgow

Hi, hoping someone can help with a continuous payment authority transaction which looks as though it’s been going through my dads account every month for quite sometime. Ive arranged to cancel it via the bank but they weren’t able to give me much information on who they were.
The narrative on the statement is ‘2 CHILDREN MONTHLY’ and the location is Glasgow. Does anyone have any idea what this is for? Or how I can find out?
Thanks

Does your dad not remember where this payment is going? Does the amount give any clue?
Do you have POA for your dad?0 -
Could he be sponsoring two children through one of these charities that advertise on tv?I came into this world with nothing and I've got most of it left.0

If you've arranged to cancel it via the bank - and they were happy to accept your instruction - then I presume you have a Power of Attorney for your dads affairs. If that is the case, you can ask the bank to request a copy of the transaction receipt from the "retailer's" bankers. This might provide a bit more information. There may be a charge to pay for getting this information through the bank so do as much googling as you can first.0

Of course, cancelling the CPA without knowing what the reason for the payments was could mean that your dad will be chased for payment to be made by some other means, if he has entered into a contract and that contract is still in force.0
