this laptop has built in tv tuner with freeview through ordinary tv ariel connector.can it be connected to cable box as there is no scart socket.thanks for any help

I take it you mean connect the cable TV box to the laptop so you can watch cable TV on the laptop?

Possible if the Vbox outputs SVHS via the SCART socket at which point you'll need some adapters to do it all.
