viago excessive charge

I paid £119 a ticket with a face value of £42. When i bought the ticket I didnt know what the face value was. I realised they would be inflated but not to this degree. Is there any come back for paying so much more than the face value?

No comeback at all, you saw a price you were happy to pay and paid it

I tend to agree with you. The only thing i have complaint about is that i was not aware of the face value of the tickets i was buying. I think they should be required to specify how much over the odds they are charging. Although it is possible they did specify this but I missed it. I've used then before and only paid a few pounds over the face value though

Surely that information would be available to you if you chose to find it out, through various websites.

I doubt the website is legally required to tell you how much it is ripping you off by.

it does give you the range of original prices under General Notes
eg from a random concert -
Prices are set by sellers and may be lower or higher than face value. Prices include booking fee and estimated VAT, exclude delivery fee . Original face value price per ticket (excluding fees): 23.4 - 111.2 GBP

Given how much publicity there has been about ticket resellers this year you must surely have expected to be ripped off in a big way when you decided to buy from them.

Oh, and it's Viagogo. Here is the link to Trustpilot, where they have earned a massive 1 star out of 5 from 23,000 reviews.

I thought many venues have said they'll not accept tickets bought resale through Viagogo?

Exactly. You may have a ticket with an almost 200% mark-up on it that you can't actually use.
