Just be aware that there may well be restrictions on the age of the car that you run using the allowance - there was with my company e.g. age and no 2 seater convertibles.

I've just bought a i30 1.0 turbo petrol 18 months old from a main dealer so 3.5 years warranty left for about £12k. Must say I'm quite impressed with it and goes quite well (not quite as well as the Porsche Boxster I swapped it for though...)

Thanks for the tip, I've rechecked the company's driving policy and they don't have any restrictions outlined for it being a perk incentive (ie. I need to be able to travel but having a car is not a requirement of the job)

I'm going to go test drive an i30 DCT 1.6l diesel model next week to see how it drives (currently partner has a Seat Leon 1.6L DCT so I've already been converted). Fingers crossed its a smooth drive, and I'll start continously browsing Autotrader and looking for deals.
