Oh and getting the car fixed cost just short of 200 quid, so that's my overpayment gone this month. Sigh.

Ah man, I wish I'd have taken that deal. Now they are only offering 10 months fixed at MUCH higher rates. The certainty would have made me feel much happier I now realise.

    Isn't hindsight wonderful?

I feel exhausted today and I'm not really sure why. I think it's all the general worries of the world getting to me. I did have a wonderful weekend with DH and the kids though. It was a very rare weekend when we were all together and it really felt like a holiday. That could also be why I'm finding this weekend so difficult. My brains struggling to accept I'm at work rather than on my jollies.

Not long now though. I have 2 holidays (staycations) and a weekend away booked and I really CANNOT wait.

Sounds challenging. It's an important life skill so I get why you're persisting.

I’ve seen a hint of nice weather and in my infinite wisdom though oooh I’ll start in the garden.

My aching bones are questioning my life decisions.

Free weekend so far. Library STEM club this morning, some gardening and just general chores still to do.

Boys are currently playing on the Xbox, which they haven’t done for AGES.

Well, free weekend went to pot. DH went out with “the lads” and spent approximately £50. He also managed to find himself in a fight. He’s ok and no hurt thank God. He said he actually ended up talking to one of the lads afterwards and tried to point out the error of his ways.

Men are weird and I’m less than impressed with all of it. But that’s not a discussion for here.

I’ve managed to start line drying again which is super exciting, for me at least. I’ve been quite productive today so far.

Managed a £180 OP this morning. I'm not sure if that might be my last for a while as I'm aware we have some big bills coming. But I'll see what I can do. I refuse to stop living in the meantime just to OP the mortgage. The boys will only be kids once.

If the house valuation is accurate I now own approx 1/3 of the house.

I know. He didn’t start it and hasn’t been involved in one off a rugby pitch for 30 years. He’s felt terrible ever since and like he’s let us down.

I mean you can’t always help other peoples actions but still, I’m not impressed.

Started the day with a kids bowling party - I'm exhausted. But got to hang out my washing in glorious sunshine so I can't complain. Took the dog on an epic walk yesterday, which included a free check up at the vets (we are on a plan with them so get a bit extra thrown in). Again it was glorious sunshine so it's been a lovely weekend already.

Came home to the council tax letter, confirming its going up 3.99%. I appreciate it's not as big an increase as some have, but it still is a lot more than when we moved here in 2018. Wish I'd know what my "new" DD will be for energy. I'm with Octopus and they've said they aren't increasing them just yet. So we shall see.

DS1 won't stop growing. Tried to order him school pants and for some reason only got him 2 pairs - covid brain is still at work I think.

Busy week ahead. Work is manic, everyone is off and there's only half a team left at my grade and its a bit of a nightmare. A meeting has showed up in my diary with managers for Monday morning, where I'm expecting them to distribute a lot of work. Yay me!  :(

We also have a tree surgeon coming because one of the trees at the bottom of the garden has only not fallen because it's being propped up by another tree. So we need someone to come and deal with that. We've now also got a bit of a rat problem, so we have a "rat man" coming from the council because we can hear them in the roof and attic. AND the boys bunk beds are FINALLY coming! So we need to build them and sort all of that out. In the meantime, we will need to sort and tidy ready for the rat man coming so he can gain access to everywhere he needs to.

I'm going to have to redo all my sums in the meantime so that DH and I have the correct amount going into the joint account to cover all the bills.
