    Those cakes sound delicious.

We got a lot of work to do in the garden too.

Home grown veg sounds good. 🙂

Ironically I hate bananas (psychological scaring from childhood ), so I didn’t even benefit from the baking. Sigh.

Woke up this morning to see I now have 11 lettuces, I think 3 lots of broccoli and 2 lots of Brussels sprouts poking out. Very exciting.
The boys had an awful nights sleep, as a result we all did. So nothing productive has gone on here today.

I'm glad you're surviving the lockdown ok. We're in the same boat, both of us are meant to be working from home whilst also looking at home. DH is stressed as he's getting behind and I'm not being as productive as normal. My DS keeps telling me not to work so definitely got mum guilt too.
Glad the seedlings are making an appearance. I was going to sow some flower seeds in the garden but I seem to have misplaced the seeds :(

How old is your DS? It’s super tough isn’t it? I know it could be a lot worse and we’ve a lot to be thankful for. But they don’t understand that and this is massive to them (and us).
It’s a beautiful day here though so I’m aiming to try and get them outside for at least part of it! 🤞🏻

I managed to clean the greenhouse (it almost looks like new, I’m really pleased). Emptied it out and cleaned everything, got rid of any and all weeds (in the greenhouse). Cleaned out the shed and sorted the boys outside toys, trimmed some bushes, mowed the lawns and gave the garden a bit of a tidy and weeded them.

I’m exhausted now and it’s still not bed time. Boo.

It sounds like you had a very productive day in the garden yesterday! My DS is nearly 5 so he doesn't really understand what is going on. He has actually been a lot more accepting of us not being able to go places than I thought he'd be. Have a good week, the weather should be good so hopefully we'll all get lots of time in the garden :)

Good morning all, hope you are all keeping well. We had our Tesco’s delivery which brought some much appreciated wine with it last week and I’ve managed to get another for next Saturday.
Was missing a few bits I couldn’t get in our shop and one of my wonderful friends picked us up the stuff we were missing whilst she was out. Yay.
The garden is looking better. My runner beans and broad beans are in the greenhouse now along with some lettuce.
Most of the rest of what I have is sat on the window sill and some I’m waiting to direct sow into the raised bed.
We still need to do our Easter egg hunt and I want to do more work in the garden later, but we shall see how we get on.
Lots of NSDs here and I have had my yearly increment in pay which will show in my pay cheque at the end of the month. Yay.

Wow life has got away from me it would seem despite being in lockdown.

Easter weekend was amazing and we had some fabulous family time, which despite lockdown and us both working from home is a rare occurrence. That's mainly due to us both changing our working hours so that we can give as much attention to the kids as possible.

I was meant to be exam marking again this year but unfortunately with the exams being cancelled there isn't much need for me. However, the exam board have agreed to pay me some money instead of furloughing me (which wouldn't give me anything), so it feels very much like money for nothing which I'm grateful for because it's the money we were relying on to pay off the summer holiday. Not that we know if that's going to happen this year (fortunately we've only paid the deposit and it was only to Yorkshire so not difficult to make last minute decisions really). It won't cover the cost because the payment I'm getting is so so small compared to what I was expecting to earn, but its better than nothing so I won't be looking a gift horse in the mouth.

My plants are growing well and I've started acclimatising them to the outdoors ready for planting into my raised bed. So I'm getting very excited. I just want everything planted and growing now - I need to remember to not get ahead of myself. Its been a great therapy to me and I've managed to get all the family interested and helping with bits and pieces.
