Pairing bluetooth headphones

I have just received the new 8gb Nokia N95 and have bought some Gear 4 bluphones for the music player. Connection has been made, however after a couple of minutes the music stops. When I open the phone the music starts again. I think this is caused by the phone going into what appears to be a standby mode, but it should not do this should it? Very annoying when out for a jog. Does anybody have any advice before I go to Nokia?
