Quote in install wood burner

Went to the HETAS site and rang 6 local registered installers for a quote, only one actually got back to me (must be nice to not need the work). He quoted me £830 to install the stove. We are buying the stove and he is putting it in and putting in the correct liner.
Seems a bit steep to me for one days work, any one have a clue as to if this is a good price?

I assume you are getting the chimney lined? If so that is a very decent price.
I managed to find highly rated installer to install mine for £850 recommended by my regional Clearview retailer.
I have been told by many reliable figures in the industry that a ball park figure is about £1K for the liner, rigid steel bits, closure plate and labour including VAT, but this will differ by location.
In all honesty though you end up getting what you pay for. If you go with a reputable firm you will pay more, but you'll have peace of mind that the job will be done right by someone who wants to keep a good name.
Research installers and prices but don't necessarily go with the cheapest. Its not always best.0
