Free Haircuts @ Tony and Guy - Vouchers??

Options
Hi guys

I have a haircut booked in for this Monday.

I'd prefer to pay nothing (wouldn't we all!) than the 5 quid or so. Does anyone know which free papers they put the vouchers in these days?

Thanks in advance

I see them quite frequently in the free papers like Metro, London Lite*, London Paper*. Check them carefully too; sometimes they offer a free hair cut and £4 colour (which I would assume meant you could just take the haircut and not pay £4 for the colour?)...

*Sorry if these aren't local for you - but check any free papers in your area, they're usually in the sections you'd otherwise skip!

There's a £4.50 voucher in Metro today (page 38), but it's for Sassoon Academy, appointment times 10am and 2pm Monday to Friday, and I would only go to any of these if I had a lot of free time as they say the appointment will last approx. 3 hours.

I've had a few of these and they always take forever - but the end result is also a lot nicer than the £30 haircut I get round the corner, so the time taken is definitely worth it!

The free cuts are usually held in the Toni & Guy Academy in central London. You can contact them on the same number that's provided in the £5/4.50 cuts, found in the ads section of most free London newspapers.

I believe the £5 & Free cuts are the same thing, they probably offer the freebies when demand is low, or they need more models.

Your hair will by cut by a trainee, but it's always supervised by a professional, they also sometimes request photos/surveys ... so it can take absolutely ages.

Also, I think there's a requested age range of between 18-40/50 or something along those lines.

    Contact details:

I'm not sure whether this is available outside of London (though I'm sure there must be training academies in other cities, even for other hairdressers), there's no harm in asking. I've seen many Toni and Guys put in requests for hair models in their windows from time to time.

I used to go to the Sassoon session in London - yes it took all afternoon, but I was always very pleased with the result. (I'd still go if I still worked in London). As I have wavy/curly hair just below my shoulders I also always got the same cut! (The trainees are taught certain basic cuts and mine happened to fit one of them perfectly).
  • :O i wouldnt complain if i paid five pound for a haircut from toni and guy! i live in glasgow though - any ideas? im always too scared to reply to the 'models wanted' signs outside hairdressers but i really hate paying 20-30 quid or over for a half-decent haircut. hairdressers = expensive, hence i dont go very often. :( anyone know cheap/free and good quality hardressers in glasgow?
