Hi guys, wondered if I could get you advice on this.
I have received a CPCN from g24, after being named the driver of the vehicle, by a friend who's car I was driving at the time.
After reading the newbies thread, I can't see any advice regarding this situation as the driver has already been named.
Should I try an appeal, wait them out or just pay the fine?
Thanks in advance

It's not a fine and only idiots pay G24.
The easiest way to cancel a G24 one is shown in SUCCESSFUL COMPLAINTS ABOUT PPCs which you will hopefully have seen as a link in the NEWBIES thread, when you read it first before posting. I see you mentioned the sticky thread, so go back & click on the Successful Complaints link (not repeated here).
No need for any threads about G24 as they are all the same. No appeal works, but retailer complaints work. Search the forum for G24.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Called up.and spoke to the store manager, he says he can only cancel it if I come into store with the CPCN letter and store receipt (which I do not have).0

So go in with the fake PCN and proof of spending at the store, bank statements etc. and ask THEM to reprint the receipt (you do know stores can do this?) You have the approx time, and the date, and you might even recall the till used? Shops can reprint receipts easily.
Stop being put off. Get in there and complain.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
