Setting up Energy accounts
Hello,
I have been reading through all the information about energy providers as I am about to move into a place by myself. I have used several of the price comparison sites, but I get different results.
Does anyone use EON? I have found what I think to be a reasonable rate for 2 yrs. Having lived with others, I have not yet paid an energy bill by myself, so am a bit unsure about what is a normal price to expect.
The rate I have found is fixed for 2yrs
Electricity: 16.947p /kWh, standing charge of 7.35p/day
Gas: 4.129p / kWh, standing charge of 10.50p/day
They estimate that the annual bill would be £693.
Is this a reasonable rate? Any advice would be massively appreciated. Thank you!

Not sure if you are aware or not but when you move in you will be with a deemed supplier for the property. Whatever company the last occupants were with so will have to open an account with them first. Once that is up and running you can then switch.
You are better off saying how many kWh's of Gas and Electric you will be using.
I use 2300 kWh's of Electricity and kWh's 9500 of Gas but am a low user.3.795 kWp Solar PV System. Capital of the Wolds0 -
If you move you are in a deemed contract with the existing suppliers of the new property .
You register with them and then are free to change suppliers .0 -

(The other) Initial reaction is that you could do better, especially for gas.
Consult a comparison site to find the best deal for you (after yove registered with the existing supplier)
