Best day \ time to end an auction?

Options
Watcha,

Are there any best practices about the ends timing when you're listing something on ebay?

I do recall a post a while back specifying that XXXday night was the best day as there were more \ less auctions ending?

Any thoughts on this?

E.M.

    Hi
I find sunday night about 7 is a very good time to end your auction.
i have tried a few different days + times but Sunday seems to attract the most bids IMHO

i find anything after 6/7 is a good time, as it is when most people are back home from work etc, and have sat down on the computer.

to me the day doesn't really make much difference!

  • Sunday evenings for me too. I found that Sunday afternoons were a good time in the winter but not in the summer.
Hopeless by name, hopeless by nature.
  • Thursday evenings always seem to work best for me but try a few different finishing times and see what sort of results you get. What you're seling can affect when's the best time to get bids. Baby items might sell best early afternoon when the kids are having a nap and mum/dad is surfing the net. If your item is likely to attract a lot of US bidders, bear time differences in mind when setting your finish time etc etc.

Sunday nights are usually said to be a great time to end auctions but I never seem to have much luck myself with that one!

i always ship wprldwide can see the point of just selling to the uk only as you still have to go to the post office also if your selling and buying a huge amount get a po box i have one and it costs 1 pound a week paid upfront but well worth it as parcels and payments dont go missing also no problems if your going away
i always end my auctions on a sunday night between 8-11.30 as this means the USA will be awake and hopefully see it one week watch it and bid the following week also if listing items that your hoping to get a lot of money for list on thursdays for 10 days and that way bidders have 2 sundayas to see it
i list the small priced items first building up to the highest last that way if you have a buyer bidding on a lower priced item and winning it they think thay will be saving on shipping if they win 1 or more items from you i always include that i will combin shipping if winning more that 1 item
hope that lot is some help to you
