Claiming for a damaged parcel (Hermes)

Anyone had any luck claiming for damage caused to parcels by hermes?
I've had a buyer send me a photo of an absolutely battered item that I sent.
I feel that I had packaged it well enough (lots of padding), but it really took a beating somehow.
I don't have pics of the original packaging. Any tips on how to make a claim that will be considered?

Did the buyer mark the package as damaged or in poor condition?
I had a delivery and asked where to i mark the screen as received damaged he said you cant so i signed it Damaged instead...
Luckily the item turned out to be undamaged. Just sent a message to the seller with a picture. May have been a one off or maybe they get a few packages delivered in a poor state?
Anyway back on track. If the buyer didnt mark it damaged you may have more of a problem claiming.
What the actual item broken? Make sure its not in their exclusion's list.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Thanks for the tip, I'll ask the buyer. They've just sent photos of the damaged item, not the posting material.
The item is a boxed gift, it's the box that is all smashed up. I imagine the contents are still intact, but the damage makes it ungiftable.0
