Static caravan new owner

This is my first post :-)
My husband and i bought a static caravan in June 2018. When we were about to buy it, the owners said that they were selling the site but the new owners will honor the current contract. We now have got a letter from the new owners stating that the our onsite duration is now going to be 9 months instead of the original 11 months ( which is why we decided to buy in the first place).
Is there anyone here who has had a similar situation ? we are trying to speak to a solicitor as well.
