The Woodland Trust have just added new activity packs for half-term to their Nature Detectives website for kids.
Loads of ideas for the school holidays. I really like the picnic pack, got some great-sounding recipes, definitely going to try the caterpillar tortilla rolls!

It has been mentioned before but I just found The Woodland Trust website and there are so many things here for children to do- especially as the long summer holidays are coming!
It has all kinds of worksheets, recipes, things to do & make in themed packs- which they can e-mail to you- this is the link:
http://www.woodlandtrust.org.uk/en/learning-kids/Pages/children.aspx
There are also masses of down load able worksheets etc but I can not post that link as it comes up as "page cannot be found." Instead click on main link above and then click on the picture on right labelled:
DownloadsOver 1,000 activity sheets to print and you will see there is an index - THIS works!
If you wander round the site you will find there are loads of different things
RSPB also have free sheets , activities at:

Please ignore post below because I have sorted out the problem after several attempts!!!Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

You may find it better doing one post per link, only because if one becomes a dead link or is a duplicate then you will lose your whole post.
For example this is what I get on the nature detective site:
The page cannot be found
The page you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.

I know the Woodland Trust's Nature Detectives has been mentioned in other Freebies posts, but they have just issued a link to their 150 free kids activities for summer (most are downloadable/ printable factsheets, games, recipes, activities etc).
I can't post links yet, but on the www go to the naturedetectives.org.uk site & click on the 'summer activities' graphic in the middle of the page0 -
