HSBC Minimum Monthly Pay In

Don't try this if your main account is with Tesco, and with other banks double check the T&C's of your account to see how they handle SO's due to be paid on a non-banking day, and what charges (if any) might be applied if there are insufficient funds in your account to pay a SO at the start of a banking day (off the top of my head there is at least one bank which checks your balance the day before)The easiest way I have found is to send via standing order and return via standing order set to the same day of the month. The only thing which can then go wrong is that there are not enough funds in the account where you keep your main balance. Whoever goes 'first' funds will be credited to the other account. The 'try again' system then ensures that if a bank did not have funds to return the first time they will go off at the next attempt. Voila. [I send two separate standing orders in the month to HSBC to keep the amounts passing managable]
If your situation is that tight then making manual transfers would probably be safer, even if slightly less convenient."In the future, everyone will be rich for 15 minutes"0
