Smart Parking/DRP/Zenith

Apologies for what is possibly a similar post to many. I'm finding my way through the forum and there is an abundance of information. I just want to make sure I am on the right tracks - I already mucked up at the first hurdle, based on what I have read, so want to do the rest right.

XX April 18, entered car park. (Won't go into detail but left after 12 minutes and 35 secs. Suffice to say my daughter is disabled which was reason behind us not 'staying' and parking.)
XX May 18. Received PCN from Smart parking. Dated 22 days after the alleged event. Received 4 days after issue. Shows two timed photographs of the vehicle entering and exiting the car park area.

This is where I may have gone wrong. I contacted online and explained situation. Effectively appealing. Through the wording I used I probably made it clear that I was the driver.

Approx. 4 weeks later received a second letter from Smart Parking. Did not really address points made and was unclear. Focused on short time from entering/leaving. Basically insisted that we pay the PCN.

I did not go to POPLA. Since then I have received numerous letters from DRP and now Zenith. I am yet to respond. I would seem that the advice I am reading is just to ignore these? Alternative, some are suggesting I contact Zenith declaring that there is no debt and to return the matter to their client.

I am happy to sit this out, but want to know what might happen next.

Thanks

PS. The initial PCN was for £60 if paid within 14 days, rising to £100 after that. An additional £10 admin fee to be levied after 28 days. So why are they now claiming the Parking Charge is £160?
