They're still around, but have changed their name:MyHomeMove Conveyancing, formerly 1st Property Lawyers, is a trading style of Premier Property Lawyers Limited.

beaumont legal?
I’ve used them before years ago weren’t to bad. Friend just used them to buy, they were recommended by the financial advisor.
I thought there was a list or something on MSE at one time?0 -

If a financial advisor suggests a conveyancer, ask the financial advisor if they get a 'referral fee'.
A financial advisor might be tempted to recommend the firm that pays the biggest fee, rather than the best firm.
Plus the conveyancer's fees might be higher, if they have to pay a referral fee.
Edit to add...
But if your friend was happy with them, that's a good sign. Recommendations from family/friends is often a good way to go.0 -
Amy R at NBM Solicitors. Excellent at sales - NBM generally have very mixed reviews, but the ones where Amy acted are very good. They are an online firm (though do have a couple of offices) and have a no sale no fee scheme.0

Speaking purely from personal experience ,I would not touch NBM. With a lorry load of bargepoles!! This was some time ago, mind you,so things may have improved but I very much doubt it.0
