Would MSE Credit Club (experian) ask

Hi,
I have been using credit club for some time now and have just moved house and become a homeowner. I updated details on credit club and it says additional verification required by Experian and is asking for me to enter my long card number, name on card and expiry date?!?
Is this normal?? I feel wary about giving out majority of my bank details..... can't remember if I ever had to put them in to join or not.
