Hi there
They made me jump through hoops with the ID they required and now they say they need more information (which I don't have as it was December 2000). One of the team is doing more digging for me but apparently they can't find the card despite having a system that goes back that far.
Any thoughts about what I can do to get them to find it?
TIA

It doesn't sound as if they have it - and indeed, shouldn't.
You could try a SAR but keep your expectations low.0 -
Companies are required by law to delete data when no longer needed, the guidelines for finance is 6 years (as an example at my old job it was medical records and we did 8). Once they meet the time limit they should delete the data and it's probably happened here. I guess by your comment about ID then you maybe did a SAR already but if not that's your only hope if the front line team can't see anything on you and if that turns up nothing then your complaint is over
Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Thanks for your help. The conversation I had with the chap last night suggested that they didn't have any records pre October 2000 but had records after that. Ah well...at least it's the last one0
