@Hobbs2. Reiterating what Fruitcake says. A pleasure to help.
What you've written is good. Go with it and let's see how UKPC respond to POPLA.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Oh that's a relief, it gets quite intense thinking these things through, guess I'm just not used to it.
Good to have somewhere to go for help!
Thanks for all your comments and advice. I'll 'carefully' upload it to POPLA now as a PDF, making the relevant cross references as Umkomaas previously suggested.
Will let you know how I get on.
Regards
UPDATE: Appeal was successful:
Dear xxxxxx
Thank you for submitting your parking charge Appeal to POPLA.
An Appeal has been opened with the reference 8662xxxxxx.
UK Parking Control Ltd have told us they do not wish to contest the Appeal. This means that your Appeal is successful and you do not need to pay the parking charge.
Yours sincerely
POPLA Team
Many thanks for everyone's help, particularly Umkomaas for the good ideas!

It's really the way the forum works best. I'm sure Hobbs2 would have no objections. Just be careful to proofread what you copy and paste so as not to use anything that obviously has no relevance to your own specific circumstances. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. @kp63, yes, please help yourself, I don't take any credit for it. Umkomaas and the others had all the big ideas. I just did what I was told, and it worked a treat!0
