Look to rent a room or house share if you cannot find anything present yourself to your council as homeless, if they cannot find anything its likely they will find you temporary accommodation.
That really wont be happening. The OP simply isn't entitled to that.

Although on the information given you won't qualify for any sort of social or temporary housing, councils are now obliged to support people at risk of homelessness with information about their options. It may be worth contacting them to find out more, although as you have a house the information may be around accessing that safely.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

I agree social housing isn't an option you are unlikely to be seen as priority need and will only get very limited support. They migth help you find private rent or pay for a deposit. If you're on a low income you might be able to claim housing benefit if you can't live marital home but not guaranteed.

Look at property Guardian there migth be some in your town or area or shared house. Finally drop the price and sell quicker however one month isn't much.

Good luck hope you get it sorted.

OP, I know council’s vary but in my area, if you had turned up right after you left your partner, you would qualify for social housing, including temporary housing. From what you describe, it sounds to me like domestic abuse which would give you an automatic priority need.

The problem is that you now have a new tenancy. However, since the costs of that and your mortgage are unsustainable, it is possible that the council may accept that you are not intentionally homeless. I think by far the best thing to do is talk to women’s aid.

    Is this a joint mortgage?

If it is then you have equal liability. If not, then stop paying the mortgage and make sure that you can afford to rent somewhere and live comfortably. Not paying half the mortgage should have no effect on the split of marital assets.

I suspect by your paying half the mortgage your husband will not be in any hurry to sell the property and move out.

If it is a joint mortgage then you need to get some legal advice asap. CAB may have visiting family solicitors who could give you some free legal advice or try Women's Aid as previously suggested.

I agree with Comms69 in post #8, get a court order excluding your ex from the house so that you can move back in.
