Would floodlights override cctv nightvision

We’re planning a Ring floodlight camera for our back garden (16m deep) but some of the night vision images don’t look great. It has 2 LED lights on it, if we had another 1 or 2 LED security lights also illuminating the garden, would the amount of light generated ‘switch off’ the night vision mode and video in normal, colour ‘daylight’ mode?
Or is that not how it works?

It would, if they are powerful enough. Daylight is so much more bright than lightbulbs though, it's hard to stay whether a few floodlights would trigger day mode or not. You can always keep adding more until it works I suppose.
Another option is to buy IR floodlights. That way the camera stays in night mode but can see further.Changing the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.0 -
Toy cant beat normal light. Personally would set up pir and normal bulbs. ir is more covert, picks up shape but not tones or colour
If sunlight shines directly into your eyes it will blind you, The same happens if white like shines directly into a camera in daylight mode, and also the same if ir shines in when it is night mode.
Light needs to reflect off an object for the object to be noticed.
On some cameras you can turn off the ir mode via the software menu0
