Bluetooth Headsets and compatibility with different mobile phones

Hi
I have a new Nokia 6300 but it would appear that the Motorola Headset that I was using with my V3 does not work with it. I did ask the sales assistant in the Orange shop and she said that most headsets worked regardless of the make of phone.
I guess I will have to buy a new one, but is there a universal headset that I can use, or do I need to buy one specifically for the 6300. I've searched online and some of these mobile phones accessories site and I must admit I'm totally confused! Please help.

Bluetooth is a universal standard and a bluetooth headset will work with any bluetooth phone.
You may have to reset the pairing settings on the headset first though. Try to find the original instructions or search Google with the make and model number0 -
