Myparkingcharge.co.uk red notice that says not as pcn

Hi there I visited a shopping centre today and parked in a disabled bay with my mum who has a badge but didn't think to display it as I was paying for a ticket and my reg is linked to her badge through road tax. I entered my reg and got a ticket which was displayed. When I came back I saw a red notice that clearly states it's not a parking charge notice I went to the office to show them the badge and they said I need to appeal. When I went on the website it asks me to put in the serial number and I'm unsure if to do that and appeal because I've read that appeals to them get rejected also I'm baffled as to why they can't accept my evidence at the office and want me to appeal online.

Anyone have any experience of this or this company and if it says it's not a notice do I need to put in serial number. If I ignore them what can happen ? It does say at the back they MAY send me a charge or they MAY get my details from DVLA.

Really don't need any hassle from these lot right now please help. Also I can't find how to post a pic of the notice on here .

There is a specific section on this in the faq's at the top of this board. It's the thread that tells Newbies to read it first.

Follow advice there via a forum search. Here's how you do it:

HOW TO USE THE FORUM SEARCH FUNCTION:

Hit your 'Back' button to get back to the forum thread list. On the bar just above the threads you'll see the 'Search' function. Click on the 'Advanced Search' button and on the following page place your keyword(s) in the 'Search By Keyword(s)' and make sure the 'Show Results As' button (at the foot of the window) is changed from 'Threads' to 'Posts'.

And a Google Search gets you more hits to keep you going until you understand the scam - and how the DVLA have swallowed it!
