CiFAS Cat 2 - Wanting to get some new Credit Cards

Ok So I have 4 credit cards - with Virgin, Barclays and Halifax x2.

I have been with Halifax for 13yrs, Virgin about 4 yrs and Barclays 2 yrs. Halifax and Barclays both upped their Credit limit for me in the last few months.

Over the 4 cards I have a combined about £18k which I would like to put onto new balance transfer cards.

I have never missed a card payment or missed a bill payment. I would just like to reduce the amount of interest I am paying. Circa £250 pcm

I am on CIFAS Cat 2 - victim of fraud in March of this year.

1) What is my best strategy in getting new cards to do balance transfers?

2) With CIFAS 2 will this be harder and what extra ID checks should I expect?
