Hi,

Fitters have gone home, they are due back tomorrow to fit the glass.

Looking at it, a few dubious things. I would be grateful if someone could help and confirm my fears please with the rafters to roof.

At Point 1 rafter is 20mm above frame and at Point 2 it is touching frame leaving a triangular gap between frame and rafter. This is the same on the other side. I am worried this is just going to have a cover piece stuck over, hiding it.

At Point 3 and Point 4 the outside rafters are 10mm above the rest of the surrounding seals so the glass won’t sit flush. The middle 4 rafters Point 5 sit correctly.

Thank you.

Can you post the photo link with gaps and someone will hopefully repost it for you?

You are not a new user; you're someone who signed up a long time ago who rarely uses the forum.

As such, you haven't read the rules regarding adding pictures, or you haven't understood them. Now, when you really need to, the forum's no use. When I last looked, the inserting picture instructions weren't very clear.

But it's easy. You need to get the picture hosted at a site like imgBB

    https://imgbb.com/upload

Then, take the code they give you and just put it into your post. If MSE won't accept it, put an obvious gap in it and someone else will fix it.

And let's hope you did your homework on the conservatory company somewhat better than the forum instructions, because many of them are as dodgy as a pair of Bangkok Ray Bans!

They are calling you a new user because you have few posts, whereas they trust old codgers like me. Anyway, here is a clickable link, but I can't answer the question:

I suspect it may be deliberate, prior to final screwing together when they will add lots of silicone. Conservatory fitters love silicone!

I agree about screwing together but those outside glazing bars won't be able to close up as already touching frame, and yes silicone, not forgetting expanding foam lol.
