CCJ Full and Final within 30 Days

Options
Asking for a friend.

CCJ was granted last week. 30 days to pay or CCJ will show on credit file.

If the creditor accepts a full and final settlement figure within the 30 day window, does this still show on your credit file, or can/will it be removed?

Kind regards

Comments

  • Paying off the CCJ in full will remove it from your file.

Making a settlement/partial payment will not.

    Hi,

Friend should of made the offer at the pre-action stage, then a CCJ would of been avoided, only full payment now will remove it from there file.

  • No friend wasn't also me? My situation was completely different... and was also several months ago. My friend was only in court last week and is still within the 30 day time window.

    OP:

Ask this friend of yours to sort out their own finances. Why is he asking you to come on here and find this out for him?

The first step to getting out of debt is accepting there is a problem, finding out the best approach to solve that problem and then go ahead with solving it. If he cannot do some independent basic internet research, forum or otherwise, then things are not looking too clever for him, it must be said.

  • My friend is sat right next to me. We just used my account because they didn't have one. Sorry if this has upset anyone.

It doesn't bother me. The assumption was that he was asking you to come here and research about this, which I found strange because if it were me, I would be finding out how to solve my own problem, which is the first step to success.
