Link Parking Ticket

Hi all
First time poster here so apologies if this has been submitted before (I did try and search for other examples but couldn't really find anything).
My girlfriend received a parking ticket from Link Parking Ltd while parked in a visitors space. The ticket specifies that the reason for issue was "Returned Within the No Return Period Restriction", I'm confused about the return period. Does this mean that there was a time length restriction on the parking pace? The space clearly shows the "V" sign and the other sign does not specify any times.
What I want to know is should I appeal this through the proper channel (i.e. through their appeals process on their website) or just leave it and wait for a letter through the post?
I'm happy to supply any photos or evidence needed as I took photos when we found the ticket.
Hope you can all help! Thanks in advance

Did you, in your search, happen across the NEWBIE sticky, where, in post #1 it tells you/your girlfriend exactly what to do, especially not giving away who was driving. Adjust you OP so that the DRIVER parked and the car received a ticket - assuming it was a windscreen ticket.0

Who does the "no return" stricture apply to?
Clearly it cannot be the vehicle, as it cannot read. Did your g/f park their twice, or were there two drivers?
In any case, it is an unfair term under the Consumer Rights Act.

Read this and complain to your MP
This is an entirely unregulated industry which is scamming the public with inflated claims for minor breaches of contracts for alleged parking offences, aided and abetted by a handful of low-rent solicitors.
Parking Eye, CPM, Smart, and another company have already been named and shamed, as has Gladstones Solicitors, and BW Legal, (these two law firms take hundreds of these cases to court Hospital car parks and residential complex tickets have been especially mentioned.
The problem has become so rampant that MPs have agreed to enact a Bill to regulate these scammers. Watch the video of the Second Reading in the House of Commons recently

and complain in the most robust terms to your MP. With a fair wind they will be out of business by Christmas.
each year). They lose most of them, and have been reported to the regulatory authority by an M.P.

@Le_Kirk
Thanks, I did read this section but it's somewhat vague around the appeals process, a part says to appeal straight away and another part says what for a letter (very confused by the whole thing)
@The Deep
Thanks for this, she has parked there many times before and for longer periods but only now has she got a windscreen PCN. I will of course write to my MP in due course but right now I am just confused about whether I should appeal or wait to see if it disappears?0 -
Send Link the initial appeal template, unaltered, by the method they require as shown on the ticket around day 18/19 after the parking event. This shows (any potential Judge) you have attempted to resolve this. Love NtK will reject and as they are an IPC Operator so will the IAS reject any subsequent appeal - so you don't bother with that stage.
Initial appeal template to be found in the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, post #1.
Thereafter it's a case of seeing how far they take it. If you get a Letter Before Claim (formally headed as such) from their solicitors or real court papers via MCOL Northampton CCBC, then come back on this thread.
They have 6 years to pursue this through the courts.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
