Hi all
I'm a exsisting dla claiment, who is not sure weather to call dwp to claim pip or if I need to wait for them to send a invite.
If I do need to wait, will it be before 2018 as I've read online. Or is there a delay as usual.
Thank You
Vasim

Yes there is a delay. Just wait for your invite and in the mean time study the PIP descriptors to understand what they mean and how you fit them or not.0 -

The way PIP is assessed is different to DLA and usually involves a face to face assessment as well as form filling.
Unless you have a low award of DLA and your condition is such that you are reasonably confident that you meet the PIP descriptors to the extent that you could get a higher award it is not in your interest to apply for PIP sooner than you are required to. The PIP claim process is notoriously unreliable.
However you are entitled to make an application for PIP if you wish to. Any PIP decision will end your DLA.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0 -
Ok thanks everyone for your insights. I think i'm going to wait for the invite.0
