Universal Credit transition trigger

Hi
I am struggling to find any information on what kind of change in income might trigger a change from working tax credits to UC? I have found references to a table about changes in circumstances but there is no detail of amounts of change in income, just to minimum income floors which don't apply. I have used a calculator to discover that I would lose my £50 odd per week of WTC and would receive nothing at all to replace it from UC if I had to transfer over. As I have a disability and work part-time this would be a huge amount to lose and I am worried about what would happen if I received a pay increase (the irony) of e.g. £10 or £20 per week. This could be so much worse than losing a fairly calculated amount of my tax credits for earning a bit more.
Thanks for any ideas or references.

Is there any immediate change taking place that would cause this concern ?
Government is due to announce budget which may include changes to UC. Might be worth waiting to see what changes are made.
What you describe does not mention any significate change in your circumstances that would lead to you having to move onto UC.The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.0 -
A change in income will not trigger an end to Tax Credits and will not therefore trigger a Need to claim UC.
Even if your income rises to the point where you are not entitled to be paid Tax Credits this does not end the claim. It remains open and HMRC continue to send renewal packs each year - as long as they are returned when required the claim remains open.
(A change in income could result in triggering UC if you were getting Housing Benefit, had an increase in income which ended your HB entitlement resulting in closure of your claim. If your income then dropped you would not be able to reclaim HB and would have to claim UC to get help with housing costs. This would then end any Tax Credit claims.)Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0
