Porous driveway

We're going to pave over our front garden and we're going to be using a porous block to do so (Marshalls Drivesett Priora).
I know the whole idea of using permeable materials is so you don't have to 'catch' the water run-off as it soaks through the block, BUT, our driveway would slope slightly towards the house, so I'd be worried that if the rain really came down it wouldn't drain away fast enough and would gather at the house.
Is this a valid concern or do you think it would drain away through the block fast enough?

Yes it's a very valid concern, there seems to be more instances of flash flooding reported on the news. You would be wise to investigate putting in a french drain at the bottom of the slope to redirect excess water away from your walls.Make £2025 in 2025

We had Marshalls Drivesett fitted 8 years or so ago. Even though it is porous, the builder included a drainage grid because of the slope towards the house.
Fortunately, we're on a bit of a hill and so safe from actual flooding - but the water from torrential rain may have flowed into the garage if the drainage grid hadn't been there.0
