You've started several similar threads over the last month. Why don't you look at what areas you are good at, what interests you? As we have no idea where you live how can any of us advise you as to what demand there might be for any skills in your area.0

I thought you are a trained accountant in your earlier thread

Talked to a plumber a few weeks ago, who said that gas fired CH would soon be a thing of the past. Heat pumps are apparently the way forward. If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0

Why can people not just simply focus on the question asked? What on earth do previous threads have to do with this one?0

Because you are just looking for a change of career based on income size rather than having a passion for a specific career. Even at 27, you could find the physical side more demanding than you would be expecting. If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0 -
Do you fancy domestic or industrial environments?Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

It’s nothing to do with financial gain. I would be earning a fair bit more in finance. I just want to be able to a hands on job.0

It depends what you mean by gas engineer?
Do you actually mean Gas Engineer i.e to be sufficiently qualified as to be able to register with the Engineering Council ,in this case via IGEM, The Institute of Gas Engineers and Manager?
If so then it is a worthwhile career.
If however you mean a gas installer/heating installer etc well yes, its a good living but in many areas there is a lot of competition. Joe public always wants it cheap .
Of course there are many and diverse branches to the industry.Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0
