  • Strange things happen at end of statement periods on my card. If I spend say mid cycle then takes 2 days to appear on transactions. Yet if I spend say on last day before statement produced miraculously the transaction gets posted within a few hours so is included on the statement!!! The same I suspect goes with payments!!

They have unspoken bear traps in this regard. Their defense is that the customer should be more pro-active with wording such as "Please allow 1 working day" etc. when realistically it does not, but covers them when making a complaint, as they cannot be viewed as misleading or deceptive for providing these time-frames.

I got this card a month ago after looking into their ad that I could buy an item I need on Amazon with about £25 less for the first time. Bu it seem wonder What is the advantages of having Amazon CC.

Now I got the card it does not seem to be the case anyone could briefly name the benefit of having Amazon CC ??

There is no real benefit to it, other than the introductory offer, which in my case was a mere £10 voucher, although this was not my drive to apply, as I do not believe in opening cards for the free voucher and then closing them, as it is a waste of a credit search and an empty account on file.

NewDay are also notoriously harsh with limit increases. I opened an Aqua card with them in October 2017 and 12 months later I am still on the same limit, despite keeping within my credit limit and making all contractual payments before the due date. Even though all my requests for an increase were declined and no automatic issue of one, NewDay found room to approve me for an Amazon card with £500 on it. It makes me wonder why I was not approved for a limit increase on Aqua but the same lender approved another card on their platform with a higher credit limit.

If you are eligible for mainstream cards like Sainsbury's etc. then I would go with them for the long-term 0% offers. Far better and more likely to receive an increase.
