Hello folks,
I do use a VPN sometimes Hotpoint Shield, but have noticed a few strange successful sign in's to my Hotmail account. I need to keep an eye on this as I am not sure if my account has been hacked.
The Ip't that are coming up on my Hotmail recent activity page are
2603:10a6:3:f8:cafe::d8
2603:10a6:3:f8:cafe::6d
2603:10a6:3:fd:cafe::dd
Since cafe is in the ip, does this mean its a sign in from an internet cafe?
Thanks for any advice.

That is an IPV6 address rather than an IPV4 address you normally see.
The 'cafe' is actually 4 hexadecimal numbers:-
C = 12
A = 10
F = 15
E =14

Looks like IPV6.

First time I’ve seen any webmail reporting IPV6 addresses. I suppose it was bound to happen seeing as IPV4 is fast running out.0 -

Thanks for replies. Not being a very Tech savvy person is this normal enough then to come up in Hotmail Recent Activity Page, even though its not my normal IP address?

Its in a range registered to Microsoft.0

Quite possibly Microsoft chose CAFE as a minor internet joke.
Another four hexadecimal characters could be BABE.
Choose any four characters from the range A, B, C, D, E and F (and possibly 0 and 1) for hours of fun!0
