UK parking control ltd fine

Evening
Yesterday UKPC issued a parking ticket to a driver parked in a retail park carpark (which is free for 3 hours) operated by UKPC (UK parking control ltd).
On return to the car less than an hour later there was a ticket saying that the driver had left the site.
The driver has a receipt to prove they had used the shops on the site.
The kepper is planning to appeal
Has anyone experienced this before?

lots of people, although it doesnt really matter for whats about to happen
for starters, edit your post above to what the DRIVER did and came back to
no "MY , ME , MYSELF & I"
IF THIS IS A WINDSCREEN TICKET, wait until day 26 and then appeal as KEEPER using the blue text template from the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread near the top of this forum (no alterations at this time)
meanwhile, complain to the landowner or M.A. or shops as a paying customer (no mentioning who was driving) and insist on a cancellation based on the till receipts0 -
The first thing to do is edit your post to avoid all clues to the driver's identity.
For example, you second sentenced would be better as:On return to the car less than an hour later there was a ticket saying that the driver had left the site.Review and adjust the rest of your post similarly.
There is no place for the word 'I' or 'my' or 'me' when describing events on the day.
The parking companies trawl this forum just waiting for people to trip themselves up and can use your posts against you.
Moving on...
Read post #1 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread to better acquaint yourself with the game you are now caught up in.
In there you will find a blue text appeal already written for you.
In due course you will send that appeal as it is - no additions or alterations necessary.
Send it as the keeper.
At the same time complain to the shops you visited - pointing out that your custom, and that of your family and friends, will be lost now that you have discovered how expensive it is to park there.0 -
It's just a scammers fairy tale to extort money
UKPC are very good at fairy tales.
Let these idiots prove it or prove they are predators0 -
Huggy_Bear, I think your penultimate sentence in your opening post should be:The keeper is planning to appeal. Please edit your post again.
It really is important to get these things right.
Look at how this poster is now struggling following careless posting:0 -
Thanks for advice
Is there a template to follow on writing to the shops on the retail park?
Many thanks0 -
check the SUCCESSFUL COMPLAINTS sticky thread from the stickies at the top of the forum0

You need to see their proof that driver left site. i.e. a photograph.
You do a Subject Access Request for all data held byb them for the Registered Keeper.
Also, did the passengers;););) leave site ?
