Hi there, I'm looking for some help. I'm a teacher and next week it's my turn to do an assembly for Upper sixth and I thought I would show them how to make a latte with an aeropress and a milk frother. I wanted to give them some costing comparisons to go with it but a quick Google doesn't turn anything up so I wondered if anyone knew the savings to be made before I do the maths?
I'd also like to suggest a few other ways to tackle expensive habits students are supposed to have...aside from growing your own avocados, what else might I add?

Greggs charge £1.75 for a medium latte (the smallest they do). This website will allow you to compare this price with the major coffee stores: https://uk.menuwithprice.comThe comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.0

I imagine that you mean that you want to demonstrate to students how to make 'posh' coffees at home (machines cost about £100) instead of heading out to Costa or Starbucks. I wish the home devices where around when I was at university, would have saved me a fortune!
One of my best tips, is for students to go and do their supermarket shopping after 6pm, when the stores mark their perishable items to rock bottom.0 -
Our student son bought himself this coffee maker - it has a timer so he wakes to freshly made coffee. it comes with s reusable travel flask to take to lectures https://www.amazon.co.uk/d/Dishware-Serving-Pieces/Russell-Hobbs-22630-Machine-Stainless/B00VR!!!DS/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1540333423&sr=1-1-spons&keywords=brew+and+go&psc=1
A bag of ground coffee is less than £2 and lasts him a couple of weeks (20+ cups of coffee) so 10p a cup.
He takes it black so not idea about frothy milk!0
