iphone bought on ebay passcode required

I bought an iphone from ebay, the seller said it had been reset to factory settings on the listing, I have received the phone and it requires the passcode for me to get in it. I have requested the passcode from the seller with no response, so I have filed a return request as the phone is unusable and not as described, do you think I have any trouble getting my money back off ebay if the seller doesn't respond?

You won't have any trouble getting your money back. You need to follow some simple rules:

Do NOT close the dispute.
Keep to the timelines eBay give you.
Escalate the case on day 8 if you haven't had a resolution from the seller by then.
Send the item back using the label supplied by the seller/eBay when it is issued.
Keep a proof of posting.
