Student Car Insurance

Hi my daughter has just gone away to uni and is 19 and been driving on my car insurance for 1 year which took my payments from £25 pm to £86! and I dont really want to keep paying that whilst shes away however she will be back 3 weeks at xmas and the same at easter then over summer hols which I want to have her insured on the car- any ideas who to go to please? The insurance is due for renewal this month - thanks

    Because you pay per month, you have to look at it as an annual policy and your borrowing at great interest rates to be able to pay monthly. So you cannot take her on and off your policy without incurring likely admin costs.

    You can ask her to pay for the privilege of being able to drive during her time back or keep her on the policy
